Dear Maristhill Families and Friends:
As we enter the Fall and Winter months the threat of Covid-19 and the flu still follows us. The facility will again offer flu and Covid-19 vaccinations as they are becoming available to our residents. Please, contact the nursing department regarding your wish to have your family member receive one or both of these vaccines. Also, I hope that all visitors would discuss with their medical professional the benefits of receiving the vaccines themselves.
We would ask all visitors to avoid visiting their loved one if they are feeling ill or have been in contact with someone who has the flu or Covid-19. If, we take these precautions we will minimize the risk of spreading any type of respiratory illness in the facility.
I would offer to you a Covid-19 test kit if you are feeling ill or if you have been exposed to someone who has Covid-19. Please check in at our front desk to obtain a test kit. In addition, we will have facemasks, gowns, and face shields if you wish to utilize these items to minimize the risk of transmitting Covid-19.
Again, we realize these protocols may be inconvenient and that connecting with loved ones is incredibly important. It is Maristhill’s number one priority to protect our Residents, Family Members and Staff Members. We ask for your patience and understanding during these challenging and extraordinary times. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding this memo, please feel free to reach out to us.
Thank you for your support and for being a valuable part of our facility.
Yours in Service,
James Tracy
